Privacy policy & athlete protection

Last updated: October 2026

1. Minor athlete safeguarding doctrine

The majority of competitive trainees developing at Nitesh Badminton Academy are junior shuttlers under the age of 18. Protecting their privacy, safety, and personal data is a foundational institutional priority. We enforce strict safeguarding policies across all physical and digital operations:

  • No private contact dissemination: We strictly never publish residential addresses, personal mobile numbers, personal email addresses, or schooling institutions of minor athletes.
  • Verified public sporting records: All athlete mentions on this website are restricted to verified public sporting accomplishments, official Badminton Association of India (BAI) / Maharashtra Badminton Association (MBA) tournament draws, and BWF-sanctioned results.
  • Parental & guardian media consent: Photographic and videographic media featuring junior athletes is published solely with prior parental or legal guardian consent. A parent or guardian may modify or revoke this consent at any time, upon which the requested media will be promptly updated or removed from public view.

2. Information we collect and process

We collect personal data only when voluntarily provided by visitors through our website forms or direct communication channels:

  • Trial booking & admissions enquiries: When you complete a trial booking or general coaching enquiry form, we collect the athlete's name, parent or legal guardian's name (for minor participants), contact telephone / WhatsApp number, email address, preferred training centre (Vashi, Virar West, or Vasai West), age category, playing experience, and preferred batch timing.
  • Purpose of processing: This information is collected solely to assess training eligibility, schedule court evaluation sessions, respond to admission enquiries, and communicate critical batch schedule updates.
  • No commercial data monetization: We strictly never sell, rent, trade, or distribute contact details to third-party commercial brokers or advertisers.

3. Analytics, tag management & tracking technology audit

To maintain absolute transparency with visitors, we have audited our codebase, deployment configuration, and network traffic. The verified implementation status of analytics and tag-management tools is disclosed below:

Technology / Service Implementation Status Current Data Collection
Google Tag Manager (GTM) Not Implemented / Absent No tags, containers, or tracking scripts are loaded.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Not Implemented / Absent No GA4 tracking measurement IDs (gtag.js) are installed.
Meta Pixel / Business Tools Not Implemented / Absent No Meta tracking pixels (fbq) or advertising SDKs exist.
Microsoft Clarity Not Implemented / Absent No session recording or heatmap telemetry scripts exist.
Web3Forms Form Gateway Active Form Submissions Processes voluntarily submitted enquiry forms over encrypted HTTPS API. Does not set tracking cookies.

If analytics, tag management, or performance monitoring technologies are activated in future releases to measure site usability or page response times, this policy will be updated prior to activation, and all necessary technical safeguards will be configured.

4. Cookie policy & browser storage

The live Nitesh Badminton Academy website does not use tracking cookies, advertising beacons, or third-party marketing storage. Specifically:

  • No tracking cookies: We do not place HTTP cookies on your browser for behavioral profiling, retargeting, or advertising attribution.
  • No local / session storage tracking: Our digital platform does not store persistent profiling identifiers in your browser's localStorage or sessionStorage APIs.
  • Absence of cookie consent banner: Because our website does not deploy non-essential, analytics, or advertising cookies, an intrusive consent popup banner is not currently implemented. We do not falsely claim to have collected consent where none was required or requested. Should future technical integrations require cookie-based consent under applicable law, an approved consent-management interface will be implemented prior to deployment.

5. Indian statutory compliance (DPDP Act, 2023)

Our data protection practices are aligned with the legal framework of India, including:

  • The Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
  • The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act, 2023), enacted by the Parliament of India.

We recognize the substantive provisions of the DPDP Act, 2023—including principles of lawful purpose, data minimization, accuracy, purpose limitation, and heightened protection for children's data. As the Central Government notifies the governing DPDP Rules and operationalizes the Data Protection Board of India, our administrative processes and digital forms will continue to be updated in strict accordance with the notified regulations.

6. Data retention & security

Information submitted through trial booking and contact forms is retained only as long as necessary to complete trial assessments, finalize academy admissions, and fulfill administrative record-keeping obligations. We employ industry-standard technical measures, including encrypted HTTPS transmission (TLS) and secure credential isolation, to safeguard data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

7. Your rights & consent modification

Parents, legal guardians, and adult participants retain the following rights regarding personal data:

  • Right to review & rectify: Request verification or correction of any submitted contact or participant details.
  • Right to erasure: Request deletion of trial booking contact information once communication is concluded.
  • Media consent withdrawal: Request immediate removal or de-identification of any photograph or video featuring your child from digital academy publications.

8. Privacy desk & administrative contact
